August 12th, 2007 - Santa begins to care less of what WP wants or our relations else were Saw begins to weaken its stance against DD
We have given a great deal of thought to our conversation with you and Smith the other evening. We also had a conference with WP Confed and Sent that very evening. We addressed your thoughts in a coalition with the major clans in BC. As well as what it would take to end this war once and for all. SaW and WP do not share DD's goals for a United Coalition nor do we support a New World Order. SaW and WP share similar values on the etiquette in hosting a server. Such as, fire when fired upon, ask for a duels, and so forth. These are basic rules that most clans adhere to and I am sure that these customs are applied in DD.
You spoke, that in the past there used to be a coalition. It seems to me that it didn't work in the past, or it still would be around today. It is today is what we should concentrate on and not the past. A coalition of joined clans, saying who can be a clan and who can't and who can play and who can't, is a bit God like in attitude. Don't you think? SaW and WP are not here to dictate who can or who can't play. We are here to enjoy and play the game as it was meant to be. It is people that make the game complicated. No one person or clan should ever think that they rule supreme or can rid one clan from BC. To think this way is disturbing. If, when Santa and I had been faced with a coalition, we would have ignored you and went about our business. It reminds me of elementary school and the bullies on the playground. I think, I hope we have grown past this level of mentality by now.
We welcome new clans to form. We look forward in establishing relations with new clans. Not to squelch them but to give support. Hawkeye, you were supportive of Saw's beginnings and offered assistance to our new and fast growing clan. We thank you for that. We also thank WP for all of their support while were growing. We want as many people to play BC as possible. Perhaps there might be more players in the future if we just treated them with respect rather than with contempt or see them as a threat. And when I say respect that means we do not do anything covertly to provoke them into war. Some out there, get a thrill out of knocking over the apple cart, or playing he said she said games. So moving on...
WP and SaW say no. We will not help in a coalition with DD. Its pure arrogance and selfish in its action. We all know when to use a fork at the dinner table or which side of the road to drive on. And for those who don't, then they are lucky that they have people like us to help them along their way. We are not here to play God. We do not go out of our way to cause problems. We do go out of our way to find solutions. And you pointed out that, WP, DD, and SaW are the major clans in BC and a handful of minor clans. You said that when it first came out there were 20 or more clans and it was chaotic. Now there are only 3 major clans and it should be running smooth by now. But it isn't. I have already said, but I'll say it again. It is people that make it difficult. Bridge Commander came out about 7 years ago and one day in the future it will perish and a new game will replace it.
You spoke of impostors in the game and we have had our share in our servers. Perhaps we need to find a way to identify our authenticity.
It was most respectful of you and Smith to join us in a conference. SaW wants the hostilities to end as soon as possible. WP feels if DD calls for a ceasefire they will more than likely comply. SaW wants a ceasefire, with or without a ceasefire with WP. Confed respects our decision in this matter. He understands that our first and foremost priority is to our clan. In spite of being at war with DD we still respect you and your clan members. We understand it isn't personal. But at the same time DD did draw first blood with WP and Saw.
Then bottom line here gentlemen is if we can't get along with just 3 clans. How the hell could anyone think we could operate a United Coalition or establish a New World Order? There will always be that one person that thinks the he or she should be calling the shots.
Let’s put this war in its proper perspective. It’s about having respect for one another and each others clan. Its elementary gentlemen, it’s the golden rule... Do unto others as you would have done to you.

I DD=HAWKEYE=L have spent more time talking politics with your clans and we have gotten nowhere. In regards to Saw you have known our intentions since day one, you do not like DD views and that's fine however honor will be re-installed in BC with or without you. The NGO (NEW GALACTIC ORDER) is coming there are many who want to see it grow. The list so far includes only DD and HH we are ironing out the details with BSE as we speak and more are to come! You guys don't trust me or DD but you break your agreements over and over. For example; SAW you wanted to be allies and you cancelled, you wanted nap and you cancelled, you wanted a cease fire and you cancelled!! Truth be known I don't believe you at all, in fact I've lost all respect for you.
I admit DD is guilty of a lot of things but SAW I have given you more than a fair chance and that time is now over! In regards to WP...hell they just CU with another name and soon will perish as they have in the past. Their word is no good either with their false treaties trying to get people to sign a bunch of hogwash that you’ll change your mind as soon as you want screw that and forgive me but screw you! We will not sign your worthless meaningless treaties for they have no substance if they did I would consider it. Throughout the years you may hear DD has lost many battles, well that's partial truth. We have always been out numbered but we keep coming back for more and more and more.
On several occasions I had to leave because of personal problems and many tried hard to maintain DD but without me it did not work. Before you go, remember a few thing gents. DD is still here. We will go it alone we always have but this time it appears that perhaps some disagree with you like CB AND HH AND BSE the list is building and the NGO is in the works which should also show you that I’m not real concerned with your clans if I can fight this war and aid minor clans meanwhile plan for the NGO gives you an idea of how stable I feel at the moment. DD is in the best shape it has ever been and if it wasn't I still fight ya for what I believe and I promise I am not leaving on any accord, no way not this time.
The battles are over and the clans that one a few are not around today. The NGO is coming and honor will be re-installed in BC and if I gotta step on a few toes to get there then so be it. AT least i have substance to what I say I have I don't just sway like the wind. We too have invested a great deal of time in trying to keep the peace. We did revoke an alliance with DD. Because you keep going to war with those clans that we are friends with. You brushed us off and played it down as a stray torpedo. We explained to you that it was an all out attack and you once again played it down as a misfire as well as you said that you didn't want to hear our side of the story. That is why we revoked our NAP with you. You destroyed the fabric of trust that we had with DD. If you would have given the respect that we deserved we would not be at this junction. Just a reminder that this covert mission is to assist WP. This is never to be posted on the web site. If this gets out it will tarnish the name of SaW. The importance of this mission is clear. If we relax our fight with DD and WP falls then DD will target us next.
As I told some of you last night this helps WP it helps SaW because we now can resume recruiting and enlarge our fleet. Most of you will be busy fighting in the war but Santa, Extreme and I need to take turn in hosting servers for SaW space and begin recruiting and training. We need to also keep our server looking as normal as we can. So not to tip our hand in assisting WP. This will be a bit of a tight wire act for us all. But with the intelligence that you all possess it will come easily.
I need to hear from each of you ASAP and I need to know what names you will be using so that I can send it to Confed. We must act quickly to swing the gate close and trap DD.

The rules of cease fire that Razzor has no plans of honoring
We are glad that you have agreed to a cease fire with SaW. I trust it will be long lasting and that our two great clans will be able to reform the trust and sign an NAP in the future. We are apprehensive at this time and only time can heal the wounds from this war. We also hope that you and WP will find a way to settle your differences.
WP is a honorable can and I have many good friends with them. If you would like I will once again offer my services as a mediator between your two factions.
Our server rules are quite simple but they work for us. We usually run a dueling server.
1: Ask for a duel
2: fire when fired upon
3: No self destruction in duels
4: no shuttles or escape pods
5: always congratulate the winner
6: SaW space is neutral and no wars will be fought in our space.
7: NOOBS will be either booted or banned "this is up to the host"
8: Two warnings will be given before action is taken of booting or banning and individual.
9: All tactic are fair game, tractor beams, cloak, tactical retreats, (mines, shuttles and escape pods often crashes servers) these you should not use, unless absolute last course of action
10: Be honest and brave and on your best behavior.
That's about it like I said not to complicated, pretty straight forward.

Fast ships in BC
It was brought to my attention that cheaters had found a foothold in KM 1.0. After hearing that one of these cheaters was one of my own DW, I took a more serious interest in this matter.
Phase one of this investigation was simply to inquire about it. When questioned, F1X3R swore on his honor as a Dominion Warrior that whatever was happening was not intentional, and that was good enough for me.
Phase two of this investigation was to determine what was happening by re-creating the same circumstances, and running tests to see if we could get the same results again.
After procuring the aid of DW F1X3R head of DW Advanced Technology and DD Smith, we all ran controlled and uncontrolled test in KM 1.0, these tests were independent of each other using: windows XP, linux and both duel core processors and single core.
These tests were quite extensive and took five days of hosting servers, joining games and tracking results. What we found was: after about two hours of game play on a PC with a single core processor the game closes and the PC tells you your low on virtual memory, (Indicative of the famous BC memory leak.)
However on a PC using a duel core processor this doesn't happen. In fact with a duel core processor we let BC run for up to six and even seven hours at a time.
After approximately three hours is when the interesting things happened. Instead of BC closing or lagging down the game engine it began to speed up, causing the ships to move faster, repair more quickly and the torpedoes to shoot faster. Also we found that the game engine ran faster when we joined a game as well as hosted, meaning this flaw is not host contingent.
We also found that if you join a game that has sped up because of this, your game will not simply catch up, it will run at normal speeds but the game itself will jump around as if it’s lagging when in fact it isn't, mimicking a type of Virtual time dilation. (If there is such a thing) This speed up doesn't happen all at once, it is incremental. Approximately 2% per every 10 minutes making it go unnoticed until it is at an extreme rate. At one point we had to set the test ships engines down to 35% just to make fly the same speed as a ship just entering the game.
Keep in mind that these test took five days and were done by three different people independently of each other, the tests themselves are indeed conclusive.
Phase three of this investigation was to find out why this happens.
The duel core processor is designed to perform like two linux PC joined together splitting to task of the CPU and allocating the virtual memory in a more efficient way. Multiple processors are often used to increase throughput of large transaction-based systems such as application, database, and web servers. A server being used by hundreds of concurrent users will certainly process a greater number of simultaneous transactions compared to the number of transactions a typical user would generate on a standalone PC. In either case, the primary goal of a multiprocessor system is to increase performance by balancing the execution of multiple tasks among the available processor cores.
Dual-core processors, such as the AMD Athlon 64 X2, are comprised of a single chip containing two processor cores. Each core is an execution unit capable of running one or more processor threads, which are scheduled for execution by the operating system. A developer can define one or more threads in a program, which may operate independently of one another. If a thread is designed to share a common resource with other threads, the developer must coordinate thread interaction through synchronization.

Keep in mind that BC was not originally designed for multi-threading. But it did and still does have a major memory leak and with KM 1.0 that memory leak got worse; with the duel core processor that memory leak is treated like a multiple task and instead of closing the application it just re-directs it which in effect speeds up the game engine.

Both DW and DD Leaders have agreed to an open line of communication and have made counter measures to ensure this, any violation of these agreed upon definitions will not absolve the alliance but will be dealt with quickly.
As part of the Negotiations DW will NOT attack =WP= in the current =WP= DD war, but WILL defend DW space and WILL defend DD space if needed. (If DD is out numbered, impostors or cheats are detected.)
The reason this alliance has been made with =WP= as the focal point is because of prior allegiances that DW still Honors. Any other Clan that attacks DD while DW is present is far game.

October 10th, 2007 - Cartman becomes very involved in war strategies!
We should allow peace with SaW, because peace will lower their activity and become their worst enemy and also it allows us to focus on WP. Our move should be peace with SaW if they don't get involved with WP and us as our original alliance was get a written copy and we will post it on our site..... Then we hit WP. This will put out SaW because activity for them will fall off, then WP will get crushed and their alliance is completely gone! Good for us.

This is an opportunity we can play in 2 ways:
1 - Continue to toy with SaW and not really negotiate. I would demand that they drop their tags in all BC servers or they can wear DD tags lol. This would be funny but we could only milk it for at most 1 day. Would still be good for propaganda and morale.
2 - We actually negotiate a cease fire with SaW same as OO and USF. We demand they do not interfere with our war on WP. I would find this acceptable if and only if DD would then be committed to wiping out WP at all costs whether it takes a week, month, year or 5 years. WP would have no allies. They either fall apart like CB or run away like XG. Once that happens we could take a break and at some point re-engage with SaW and eventually wipe them out.
If we actually do not want to go for WP's jugular then I would recommend option 1. But option 2 would give us the opportunity to finish off WP forever and that would be a tremendous accomplishment for us.
I have not answered Razzor's post and won't until I hear from you. What do you think?

SaW has MPP's with FAD, WP & OO, with this in mind. If the allied parties ask for help from SaW, they must assist. A cease fire would have to be arranged with all in The Alliance and not just SaW. RAGE and Santa are not thinking dimensionally in this matter. DD and The Alliance will have to come to some kind of understanding if a cease fire is to be accomplished.

October 12th - On another front Rammstein's XG is not doing well
Update: Bounty and Lady Mich have quit XG. So K'hil, Patriot, Lady Mich and Bounty all left XG and Suntzu is in training somewhere and is not active, XG days are completely numbered. I wonder what Rammstein thinks now.
